“My full-time service to the Lord began in 1980 with two years as religion instructor and coach at my alma mater, Michigan Lutheran Seminary. This was followed by five years of serving as pastor at a mission congregation, Shepherd of the Springs, Coral Springs, FL. The privilege of shepherding God’s people here in Crystal Lake began in March of 1987. I continue to be excited to work together with God’s people in service to our Lord and Savior.

God has blessed me with a wonderful family. Their love and support have been a blessing to my ministry. Deb (nee Voss) and I were married in 1978. God blessed us with four wonderful sons, James, Benjamin, Joel, and Aaron (deceased); two fantastic daughters-in-law, Kate and Betsy; and seven terrific grandchildren, Caleb, Isaiah, Joshua, Nathaniel, Luke, Landon, and Eden.”
