Revelation 2:10b - Be Faithful!
This coming Sunday, May19th, Lord & Savior Ev. Lutheran Church in Crystal Lakewill confirm five young people:Eric Bower, Grace Dowd, Madeline Gutzmer, Maria Loiseau, and Joseph Ray. Each of them will be reading a self-written Testament of Faith in the service about what their Confirmation means to them, and Pastor David Carlovsky will reference their Confirmation verses in his sermon. The sermon will be based on Revelation 2:10b: "Be faithful unto death," as we will ponder how our Lord is perfectly faithful to us and how he commands us to be faithful in return.
The sermon theme will simply be: "BE FAITHFUL!"
Revelation 21:10-23 - And the Lamb is its Lamp
The following week, the congregation will switch to its summer schedule: services at 7:00pm on Thursday evenings and 9:00am on Sunday mornings. Services for the Memorial Day weekend will be held on May 23rd and May 26th. That Sunday, Pastor Carlovsky will preach on Revelation 21:10-14, 22-23. In God's vision to Saint John, we note that we depend on LIGHT.
The sermon theme will be the last phrase of the text: "AND THE LAMB IS ITS LAMP!”
The sermon will have three sections, discussing Jesus Christ as Gate, Foundation, and Lamp.
Visitors are always welcome at Lord & Savior. Lord & Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake is worshipping on its summer schedule — services at 7:00pm on Thursday evenings and 9:00am on Sunday mornings.
